RHIAs are a critical linkage between care providers, patients, 和 payers. 的RHIA has a comprehensive knowledge base of 医疗, administrative, ethical, 和 legal requirements 和 accreditation st和ards related to 医疗保健 delivery as well as serving as the source content expertise for the privacy 和 security of protected patient information.

The Bachelor of Science degree in 健康 信息 Administ配给 (HIA) program focuses on the 健康 信息 Management skill set 和 offers the intersections of medicine science st和ards, computer technology, 和 business administ配给 emphasizing patient privacy 和 security of protected patient information. Students can expect to learn about the core domains of HIA, including:

• information governance, 
• documentation st和ards,
• 医疗保健 data analytics 和 statistics,
• evolving technologies in the electronic 健康 record 和 medicine,
• disease classification systems 和 revenue cycle 管理  和
• 管理/领导.

Program Accreditation The Program’s accreditor of Chicago State University is the Commission on Accreditation for 健康 Informatics 和 信息 Ma管理 教育 (CAHIIM). The College’s accreditation for a Baccalaureate degree in 健康 信息 Administ配给 (HIA) has been reaffirmed through 2029-2030.
